You've probably seen a hundred TikToks on how to use a Gua Sha on your face. But how do you use one on your body? Here's exactly how to get the most out of my Body Sculpt Tool and Firming Body Cream together.
Preparation
- Start by cleansing your skin to remove dirt and oils. Gently exfoliate if needed — my Original Coffee Scrub is a good starting point — as this will allow the cream and tool to work more effectively.
- Pat your skin dry with a towel. You want your skin to be dry enough that the tool glides smoothly, not slippery from excess water.
Let's get sculpting
- Apply a generous amount of Firming Body Cream to the area you want to target — thighs, butt, abdomen, or arms.
- Massage the cream into your skin with your hands to warm it up and improve absorption. Doing this for 2–3 minutes increases circulation in the area before you pick up the tool.
- Grab the Body Sculpt Tool and begin with light pressure to warm up the skin. Glide it in upward strokes toward your heart to promote lymphatic drainage and circulation. Start at the bottom of the legs and work upward. Use long, sweeping motions and spend about 5–10 minutes per area.
- For more targeted sculpting, use your hands to gently pinch and roll the skin. This helps stimulate blood flow and can improve the appearance of dimpled skin with consistent use.
- After using the sculpting tool, apply another layer of Firming Body Cream to lock in moisture and continue the treatment.
Post-sculpt
Drink plenty of water after your session to support circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Consistency is everything. Aim to sculpt 3–5 times a week and give it a few weeks of regular use before judging the results.
If your muscles are feeling a little tender, keep the tool in the fridge and use the cool pressure to help soothe the area.
The best time for this routine is after a warm bath or shower. Your skin will be warm and your muscles relaxed, which allows for better product absorption and circulation.
