Feel like rubbish? Here are 5 simple things you can do to change that.
There’s always that annoying, healthy, glowing person at a party who says, “I’m not drinking because my body is a temple”. You laugh and roll your eyes, but really you’re thinking “I hate you. Why are you perfect”.
#letsbefrank if you’re not treating your body like a temple how are you treating it? Like a tip? A half-way home? A bachelor pad? Are there half eaten pizzas and a years supply of 2-minute noodles lying around? Be honest, babe.
If so, it’s time for a spring clean.
Let’s make your body a temple both you and I want to spend time on. Literally.
1. You are what you eat.
The more natural, nutritious things you consume the better you will feel. Physically, you’ll have more energy. Mentally, you’ll be more alert. And you’ll look good, because you feel good. Even I know that if you’re feeling good on the inside, you’re looking great on the outside.
Keep these three things in your kitchen at all times:
- Vegetables.
- Avocado.
- Water. (This one is pretty simple, babe. No excuses).
2. Fresh air is everywhere.
Yet majority of our dates are inside. Get outside, with or without me. And take a moment to breath in, and out. The power of fresh air on your brain, muscles and skin is second only to me. #letsbefrank
3. Exercise is well, exercise.
You hate it, or you love it. But everyone needs it. Those infamous endorphins make everyone feel better, and can only come from one thing. Go for a run, grab a skipping rope or do a dance class with your #1 babe. You’ll thank me for it later (in the shower).
4. Look after your immune system.
It’s something you can’t see, but you can feel. The more good things you’re putting into it, the better you’re feeling. And not feeling. Making sure that you treat your body with love and respect all year round will mean that when the winter flu’s hit, you’re the girl bringing the soup not eating it.
Add these to your daily routine (especially in winter):
- Vitamin C.
- Echinacea.
5. Smile, please.
I love reminding you that the prettiest thing a babe can wear is a big, pearly white smile. And I say reminding, because you often forget. If you’re unsure, think of that feeling when you smile at a random babe, and they smile back. Do that, more.
#letsbefrank, you’re a queen not a rat. Don’t act like the latter.
