Mik’s coffee order may be a bit plain, but she is anything but. This body positive babe is all about clothing-optional dance parties and loving every inch of your skin. So in other words, I may have found my soulmate.
F: Before we begin, what’s your coffee order?
M: My coffee order is super plain. It is just regular black coffee with a little bit of cream. No sugar, nothing else in it.
F: What’s your favourite thing about your personality?
M: My determination. I’ve gone through a lot in my life and I feel like that’s always been something I hold onto.
F: I love who you are inside and out. But do you have a favourite body part?
M: My favourite body part is probably all of it. I love how perfectly imperfect it is.
F: What are your thoughts on being naked?Â
M: It’s kind of complicated. Especially as a woman, I feel like there has been a lot of shame around nakedness, and these last few years I’ve definitely grown more into my body and grown more confident.Â
F: Close your eyes and smell my body wash. What are you imagining?
M: It smells like I have just been basking in the sun, frolicking in some flowers and floating on a cloud.Â
F: Okay, now take a whiff of my two deodorants. How would you describe them?
M: The unscented deodorant smells unscented, but it also smells like it’s going to take care of me. I know that sounds cheesy but it smells pure and comforting. The scented deodorant smells like I’m walking through flowers and that is everything I ever want in a deodorant. It smells so good.
F: You know you can talk to me, babe. What’s one thing you’ve never told anyone else?
M: One thing I haven’t shared with anybody before is my first kiss story. I had just gotten a tooth pulled and I was walking home from the dentist, because it was really close to my elementary school. My friends came up to me and they were like ‘your boyfriend’s going to kiss you after school,’ and I was like, ‘but I just got a tooth pulled.’ I had to kiss him with gauze in my mouth, and I ran away so quickly after that. I think we broke up like a week later.
F: Is there a beauty product you use every day?
M: It would have to be deodorant, I would think. And if I forget, that’s a problem because then I feel sticky.
F: What’s your everyday shower routine?Â
M: I don’t wash my hair every single day. I use your new body wash. It’s so incredible. And my favourite thing to use after I shave um is Butt First, Coffee. It’s in this reusable coffee mug and I absolutely love it. It’s this really thick moisturiser and I add your booty drops to it. It’s the only moisturiser that has worked for my skin because I get razor bumps and ingrown hairs and all of that. Really really thankful for these products.
F: Have a message you want to share with my frankfurts?Â
M: Loving your body doesn’t have to be perfect. But the process of loving your body looks more like accepting your body at every stage in your life. And that’s an act of love.Â
F: What word first comes to mind when you think of frank?Â
M: Acceptance. Growing up I’ve had acne, razor burn, ingrown hairs on my bikini line. And every single skincare company has never shown real skin for what it is. I can’t thank you enough for making me feel like you love my body no matter what. And that makes a huge difference.
F: Helping babes feel like babes is what I live for. So naturally I’m curious, what do you do to feel good every day?
M: I have dance parties, clothes optional. I love naked dance parties because it’s the most liberating thing in the world, because you’re just celebrating the heck out of your body and that’s you time. That’s no one else’s time.
F: And finally, how do you find confidence every day?
M: I don’t find confidence every day. I think that’s one of the biggest misconceptions of loving yourself and accepting yourself. There’s no finish line. There’s never going to be a finish line…It’s more so asking myself, what is the kindest thing that I can do for myself right now?
