The date was June 20-24, 2016. I remember it like it was last week. I met the babe(s) at Sweatshop Cafe in Williamsburg. They had some coffee – most with almond milk- and some breakfast – the most important meal of the day. I had taken over the menu: there was a few traditional Aussie staples like Avo on toast, plus a few more cheeky things like:
The Francine: Â a pink acai bowl with dragonfruit, cacao, coconut and orange rind.
The Franklyn: a banana, cacao, and macadamia smoothie.
Most importantly they had some of me. Taking home my original coffee scrub for, you got it, free.
Why did I do it, you may ask? Because I wanted to give every one of you babes the chance to meet me #irl. And because a busy-babe doesn’t just need breakfast, she needs coffee, too. And good coffee in New York requires an Australian. That’s why I hooked up with my Australian mates from Sweatshop to bring NYC babes coffee that woke them up on the inside, and the outside too.
We had a lot of fun making things…pink. My Australian pal Mete did a mural in the bathroom – where all selfies should be – and then my new pal from the States Timothy Goodman wrote a story about meeting a babe in a coffee shop for their roller door. He finished it with some very wise words outside:
“Don’t look for love, look for coffee.”
Unless of course, it’s tough love in the form of my coffee scrub. #letsbefrank
I also had the babe that is Chloe Norgaard come down and help me plant some flowers to save the bees – whom without we’d be in a whole lot of trouble. Want to know what that’s all about? You’ll see our Dirty Talk soon.
And because my babes know all about balance, I ended the week with a pizza party. A Hot Girls Eating Pizza party to be exact. You know how that would have played out.
Feeling a little unloved? UK babes, it’s your turn next. Stayed tuned for my collab with Hershesons.Â
