I love seeing you babes creating art & messages using my scrub. It makes me happy. But when I took over Sweatshop Cafe, I wanted to get extra wordy, so I enlisted the help of man-babe Timothy Goodman. He isn’t one to drink coffee but #letsbefrank: he sure knows how to write about it, and scrub with it. 

What’s the first thing you think of when you wake up?

I should go for a run!

Then, what’s the first thing you do?

Hit the snooze, and never go for a run.

Recently, you decked out our Sweatshop X frank body pop up. How did you find scribbling about coffee?

On my Instagram, I have written about how the act of meeting for coffee can disguise itself as quasi-date, so I thought it would be fun to apply that writing to the pop-up.

What’s your coffee order?

Tea. I don’t drink coffee. 🙂

How did you feel about using a roller door as your canvas?

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I want people to stumble across as they’re walking and stop. And I love the weird bends it takes on the lettering.

Hardest space you’ve worked in?

I draw at many live events & conventions, sometimes with thousands of people walking by and watching. That can be a bit intense!

If you weren’t a designer or illustrator, you’d be?

I was a house painter and wallpaper hanger for 5 years in my late teens and early 20s, so I like to think that I’m exactly where I should be now.

What has been your most interesting job to date?

frank Body of course!

And dream client yet to land?

I really want to do something for the NBA basketball league. Or large mural in Kim & Kanye’s house.

Top 3 tips for a young creative?

1. Approach design as a practice, not as a profession.
2. You have to make a lot of stuff before you can make stuff like yourself.
3. Sharing your personal stories is a sort of activism.

You’re a man-babe. What’s your skincare routine like? Simple, I bet.

V simple! One quick wash with face soap, then maybe a little lotion.

How do you feel about putting coffee on your body?

Love this idea. If I don’t drink it, then I should definitely wear it.

I speak dirty to babes. One piece of advice for a member of the opposite sex?

Oh no, I’m not even about to answer this.

My girlfriend, Alyssa. Oh wait, I just did that for you.
